changes
so, as you can see, i've made some changes to the blog. i've also made a few changes over on my flickr page as well. i've been so busy lately with work and cleaning and packing and whatnot that i haven't had much time (or even desire) to put anything of substance in this space. so, i'm hoping to turn this into more of a photo blog than just a "i haven't posted in three weeks and i need to write something" blog. i don't know how some of you do it. i mean with kids, full time jobs and all the responsibilies of just everyday life, you still manage to post almost daily with lovely things to share. i think it's incredible and i wonder where your energy and drive comes from.
i feel like my life needs me more now than this blog does. that doesn't mean that i'll stop posting....not at all. i think i'll just let my photos do all the talking from now on. i want to learn more about my craft and you all have always been my most honest critics and i'm so happy to have this outlet for your suggestions, advice and encouragement.
i will still be posting (probably daily) over at flickr and that will be my place for writing. i think now i mostly want to get out and photograph this life that i'm living and share it with you through my lens instead of my words.
for the mama's
so, mothers day is this coming sunday. i'll be MIA for a while since that's another huge "flower" holiday. not nearly as bad as valentine's day, though. it's generally a calmer holiday as most mom's are just happy that their offspring remembered them. we even have lilac this year!

packing up and cleaning out
going on right now.....spring sale in my shop!

i'll be moving soon. i think. well, right now, that's all completely up in the air. but nevertheless, i've been cleaning out and editing all of my collections in the hopes of being able to "travel light." most of the items for sale in my shop are vintage things that i just don't have room for anymore. i hope you'll go take a look and maybe find a treasure or two.

new things
spring is here!....finally. these are ranunculas from my last trip to the farmers market. i've been cleaning and scrubbing and vacumming myself silly. i seem to be just now coming up for air. there are so many new things that i missed and wanted to share with you....
first, there are several new mama's to be! vanessa is expecting a new little one very soon. and so is donna! i'm so happy for you both. what lovely mama's you will surely be!

shop closing

i'm going to be closing my shop soon. i just don't have the space or the resources to keep my shop stocked as well as i'd like. plus, i'm going to be moving in a few months and there will be even less room for all my "stuff". so, that said, i'm going to clear out the shop. i'm also going to be clearing out my little vintage and handmade things that i don't need or no longer have room for. more on that in the next few days.
and by the way, i only have six five sets (of 10) of the bunny postcards left and that will be all i'm going to make. after that, they're gone forever :)

husband : i was in an episode, i never told you that?
me : umm, no.
husband : yeah, when i was on the golden knights (army parachute team) we were in an episode, i didn't have any lines, but my buddy did.
me : how did i not know this about you?
